| Sharp to Drive for Panther Panther Racing has hired the veteran Scott Sharp to drive in the Indianapolis 500. Sharp, the 2001 pole starter, last drove in the Indy Racing League’s IndyCar Series in 2007 with Rahal Letterman Racing. He currently drives in the American Le Mans sports car series, and his deal with Panther is for only the Indy 500, where his teammate will be Dan Wheldon, the 2005 winner.
